The Cloisters

So again this totally happened in the summer and I never posted about this.... But I do have a legit excuse this time. I used my traditional camera for these BEAUTIFUL shots and I just had them developed on Christmas Eve :). I used some pretty expensive film that I bought (or rather was tricked into buying). Anyway, I'm supremely happy with how these shots came out. The colors are SO much more vivid than on digital cameras. Looks so much more "legitimate" if you know what I mean...

This is a secret hideaway in NY, near the George Washington bridge. It an old monastery that is part of the Metropolitan Museum. If you ever get a chance to go there, it's definitely worth it.

They had a great outdoor garden with medicinal, edible, and poisonous plants.

Love how the light is coming in...

Wavy columns! How awesome is that.

If anyone has studied Art History, then you may know about this very famous triptych. It's at the Cloisters! (As well as that famous unicorn in a fence tapestry).

I had a great time there. Oh, and Happy 2011! Cheers! Good luck in the new year everyone.
